NEWS RELEASE - Sheriff Mike Hollinshead

On October 5th, 2025, at approximately 3:59 p.m. Elmore County Sheriff’s Office along with Elmore County emergency personnel and Idaho State Police responded to the intersection of highway 51 and Hamilton Road for a two-vehicle collision.

It is with great sorrow to announce that one of the occupants involved in the collision succumbed to their injuries while at the hospital despite the life saving measures that were taken. The name of the deceased will not be released at this time due to the privacy of the family.

The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office would like to take this time to remind drivers to be attentive while traveling to and from their destinations, adhere to the signage posted along the roadways and stay alert to major intersections. The traffic collision is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
