State bill benefits school district

Legislation approved by state lawmakers two years ago aims to offer families in Mountain Home and communities across the state a tax break with regards to the money they pay to support supplemental levies that provide financial support to their public schools.

Passage of a state bill in 2023 provides needed financial support to school districts in Mountain Home and across Idaho.

The passage of House Bill 521 two years ago set the stage for each of the school districts to benefit from this funding while providing tax relief to its residents each year.
