Base event honors local veterans

Military retirees in the local community gathered at Mountain Home Air Force Base on Friday morning to gain new information regarding various benefits these veterans continue to receive during the base’s annual military retiree appreciation day event.

Held at the Silver Sage Events Center, the event featured briefings from various base and local agencies that included discussions on how these individuals qualify for various veterans benefits in addition to various programs base agencies offer to active duty airmen as well as military retirees in the local area.
