Patrick Leroy Engelhardt

Patrick Leroy Engelhardt, father, brother, veteran, and outdoorsman, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 67.

Patrick’s early years were defined by his love of basketball. He played at Northwest Nazarene University and later took his talent overseas, where he competed before returning home to serve his country. He went on to dedicate 20 years to the United States Air Force, retiring with honor in 2002.

Patrick was fiercely loyal to those closest to him and would go to great lengths to help the people he loved. Beyond his military service, he found joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter who loved spending time in the mountains, especially alongside his loyal hunting dog, Parker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Engelhardt, his mother, Peggy Engelhardt, and his brother, Michael Engelhardt. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Engelhardt, his daughter, Lindsey Morrison, and his brother, Kelly Engelhardt.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17, at 12 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.

Patrick will be remembered for his competitive spirit, his dedication to service, his love of the outdoors, and his unwavering loyalty to those he held close.
