Council addresses advisory board plans

Local residents met before the city council and urged these elected officials to reinstate the Desert Canyon Course advisory committee, which got shut down back in 2014.

Plans to reinstate an advisory committee at the Desert Canyon Course gained the attention of the city council as they discussed this topic during a scheduled meeting Sept. 9.

The meeting began as Decker Sanders sat before the council and urged them to look into this plan following their “less than productive” public meeting last month that left him concerned.
