Candidate backlashed over Kirk’s death

A woman for a seat on the Mountain Home city council faced backlash last week following a post she shared on social media regarding the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10.

Kellee Thomas, one of a group of people running for one of two seats on the city council, featured the post on her online campaign page in which she accused the noted author and media personality of being a “racist, xenophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece.”
