Frank A. Lambertus

Frank A. Lambertus, 74 years old, of Mountain Home, Idaho entered into Our Lord’s Arms in the early morning hours of May 3, 2025. Cremation was under the direction of Boise Funeral Home and Aclesa Chapel in Boise, Idaho. An inurnment service will be held on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Idaho State Veteran Cemetery and will be posted on Facebook.

Frank A. Lambertus was born to Frank Lambertus and Theresa (Lehning) Lambertus on March 14, 1951. Frank was born in New York City and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, Frank and his family spent weekends and summers either at Lake Ronkonkama, upstate New York, at local amusements, or visiting relatives on Long Island, New York.

Frank attended school at P.S. 53 and Whitelaw Reid Junior High. Frank had a natural ability to remember facts and dates in history. As an adult, Frank was able to take advantage of a government grant and earned a degree in Accounting at the University of Montana.

After Army basic training and combat infantry training, Frank was sent to Vietnam on his 18th birthday. Due to his stature, he was a natural choice to carry a 50 caliber machine gun. Frank served in the Army during the Vietnam Era conflict 1968-1970.

Frank worked in various jobs throughout his life. He worked as a skim/ladeler and blast furnace operator at Bunker Hill in Kellogg, Idaho. Frank also worked at Stoltz-Conner Lumber Mill in Darby, Montana. After settling in Mountain Home, Idaho, Frank worked various jobs in Customer Service. His gift of gab was beneficial in talking on the phone with customers.

From a young age, Frank was an avid fan of The Beatles. All through his life, he collected records, tapes, DVDs, and various Beatles memorabilia. Frank was convinced that the Fab Four was the greatest musical group in the world. Two hobbies of Frank’s were listening to music and watching movies from any genre.

One of Frank’s most favorite things to do is yell at the television. During football season, Frank would be very animated about the progress of the game. He would frequently tell the announcers to quit talking and get on with the game. Frank brought up his sons to be football fans too. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Frank married Janice (McAlpine) Lambertus on May 12, 1978, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The couple were married almost 47 years.

Frank is survived by his wife, Janice, and two sons, Frank O. and Richard Lambertus, and his sister Geri Miranda. Frank is also survived by two grand-daughters, Veronica Coffey of Emmett, Idaho, and Serena Lambertus of Boise, Idaho. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, plus great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Frank never lost his faith in God; his early years were in the Catholic Faith. In 1984, he was baptized in the Bitterroot River into the First Baptist Church.
