Tests show signs of West Nile Virus

Reports of the West Nile Virus in the south side of Mountain Home came following routine testing conducted by the county pest abatement department.

Elmore County officials issued an advisory last week after tests revealed signs of the West Nile Virus in the Mountain Home area.

The advisory released by the county pest abatement department came as a mosquito trap set up on the south side of Mountain Home contained 13 of the insects in which at least one of them showed signs of the virus.
