Legion post to host centennial celebration

Since their organization’s founding nearly a century ago, members from American Legion Post 26 in Mountain Home take part in various events in the local area, including their appearance in yearly ceremonies held at Mountain View Cemetery.

Marking 100 years since it earned its charter in the Mountain Home community, officials with American Legion Post 26 host a centennial celebration event that begins at 5 p.m. Friday.

Featuring an evening of food, fun and prizes, tickets are available at the door of the post headquarters at 515 East 2nd South St.
