Officials: Follow city animal control laws

City ordinances require people to keep their dogs on a leash or other restricting device whenever they leave their property to take their pets for a walk as well as other activities.

An incident in which more than a dozen dogs were seen running loose in Legacy Park last week prompted city officials to highlight the need for pet owners to know and follow the rules and laws regarding the need to keep these animals under control.

City police officers came to the park after a concerned citizen reported the dogs running around the area off leash.
