Outdoor grill linked to structural fires

An outdoor grill located within the proximity of combustible materials represented the cause of a fire that set fire to two homes on the 800 block of North 6th East Street on July 3, according to an investigation led by the Mountain Home Fire Department.

Circumstances leading up to the fire began as one of the homeowners started cooking a meal on the gas-powered grill located inside a carport between both homes before the materials inside that structure caught fire.
