Streetwalkers make July 4th very special

Dear editor,

How about those fireworks!

I am a Mountain Home native and have been associated with a group called “The Streetwalkers” for 35 years. The group was formed by a woman who had a vision to make Mountain Home’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display something special.

And, wow! What a vision it was!

From those beginnings, there have been many women come and go from the Streetwalkers’ group that continue to make Mountain Home’s fireworks’ display one of the best in the state.

Thank you to everyone – individuals, businesses and all the Streetwalkers past a present – for your dedication and donations that make this display possible for our community.

We alsdo had some special events that were a huge success, including the golf cart raffle and the street dance, and I would like to recognize those who supported these events.

I also want to thank city fire chief Mark Moore and the entire fire department for their continued dedication and work to make the show so spectacular.

The Mountain Home community is a very special place to live, and it warms my heart to have you open your doors and wallets and so generously support the fireworks every year. It could not happen without you, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
