Project aims to upgrade local park

This artist concept highlights how Railroad Park plans to look following the completion of a series of renovation projects aimed at revitalizing this part of the Mountain Home community.

After three years of planning, a project aimed at revitalizing Railroad Park prepares to move forward this month as work begins to renovate the community gathering place along a two-block stretch of Main Street in the city’s downtown area.

Known as the Railroad Park Plaza, the project includes the construction of a community activity gathering space along with a children’s playground as well as a splash pad that may eventually transform into a skating rink throughout the winter.
