County fair, rodeo begins

In addition to events geared for adult competitors, the yearly county fair also features bull and sheep riding competitions geared for younger rodeo enthusiasts.

“Don’t bee ‘square’ – bee at the fair” represented the theme organizers shared as people from communities across the county and Idaho prepared to take part in the Elmore County Fair and Rodeo, which begins today, July 16, at the fairgrounds in Glenns Ferry.

Featuring free admission to parents and their children, the fair and rodeo continues through Saturday evening with a livestock auction and live entertainment planned each day along with open rodeo competitions starting at 8 p.m. all four days.
