Organizer reflects on Freedom for Fighters event

Days after a record number of people gathered along the community walking path on the north side of town as they took part in this year’s Freedom for Fighters event, organizers paused to reflect on how this effort provides needed help to military veterans and first responders.

The Eighth Annual Freedom For Fighters walk and run on June 21 had 116 people already signed up before the event began with others signing up that morning, which shattered the previous record of 90 participants that took part in last year’s event.
