Top performers honored at Dopps Rodeo

Saddle bronc riding represented one of the events aimed at testing the riding skills of this year’s competitors as they took part in this year’s Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo on Friday evening.

A persistent wind kicked up clouds of dust near Optimist Park, but it didn’t stop rodeo enthusiasts from gathering and helping celebrate the 20th anniversary of a community event held Friday and Saturday.

Top-ranked competitors from across the western United States earned more than $39,000 in cash prizes during the Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo.
