Audrey Herman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and pastor on June 13, 2025. Audrey was born September 10, 1937 in Enterprise Kansas to Cyrus and Margaret Kolling.
She was a graduate of Abilene High School. While attending business school, she met the love of her life, John Herman. John and Audrey were married on February 15, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma.
They went on to have 4 children. Audrey spent the next 20 years as a military wife and valued community member. The family lived in Salina, Kansas, Oscoda, Michigan, Spokane, Washington, and Misawa, Japan. John’s final duty assignment brought the family to Mountain Home, Idaho.
They fell in love with the community and decided to stay when John retired from the Air Force.
Audrey held memberships in many organizations, including the Elkettes, Elks, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and many more. She loved helping her community and spending quality time with her family.
Audrey is survived by her brother Ray (Ann) Kolling of Vashon, Washington, son John (Karla) Herman of Meridian, Idaho, daughters Pamela (Rusty) Scharfenberg of Milton, Florida, Cathy Starbuck of Laverne Oklahoma, Jo Kukula of Liverpool, New York, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandsons.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents Cyrus and Margaret Kolling, husband John Herman, son-in-law Charlie (Cathy) Starbuck, and son-in-law Robert (Jo) Kukula.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, 325 S 3rd W St Mtn. Home ID.
