Charter high school honors its graduates

During his speech at this year’s graduation ceremony, Richard McKenna Charter School District Superintendent Dennis Wilson extended his thanks to the members of the C-2 Construction company in recognition of their work over the past several months to expand the charter high school’s facilities to accommodate the junior high school students now taking classes at this campus.

Some rejoiced while others fought back tears as 21 students earned their diplomas as they officially graduated from Richard McKenna Charter High School during a ceremony held May 22.
Celebrating its 35th year of providing alternative education for teens in the local community, the ceremony was the first of two graduation events school officials scheduled for this year’s seniors.
