MHHS band, choir teams compete at state

Following their award-winning performance at this year’s district competition, 22 students from Mountain Home High School’s band and choir teams faced off against musicians and singers from schools across Idaho as they competed during this year’s state finals.

Held May 1 at the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello, Jesse Gallup took home a second-place trophy in the snare drum solo category while Leela Moehn finished fourth overall in the cello solo event with others on the high school team placing in a number of additional events.
