Authorities Seek Additional Victims After Elmore County Man Charged With Sex Crimes

Monday, April 28, 2025

MOUNTAIN HOME — Gregory W. Jones of Mountain Home was arrested April 25 in connection with a months-long investigation into allegations of sexual penetration with a foreign object and human sex trafficking, according to the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest follows an extensive inquiry that began January 31, 2025, and has already identified multiple victims.

Authorities say Jones was taken into custody pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by an Elmore County judge. He was booked into the Elmore County Detention Center on charges of sexual penetration with a foreign object and human sex trafficking. Investigators have interviewed several victims, whose credible information has provided critical evidence and significantly advanced the case.

The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office commended the courage of those who have come forward, noting that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Officials believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified and are urging anyone with information, or who believes they may have been a victim, to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (208) 587-2100.

The arrest comes at a time when Elmore County is grappling with issues of sexual violence and exploitation. Earlier this month, Mountain Home High School students painted murals on local businesses to raise awareness during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, underscoring the community’s commitment to combating such crimes.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. No further information will be released at this time as the investigation continues.
