City council approves race track agreement

During a previous city council meeting, representatives with Race to Empower LLC, which manages the Mountain Home Speedway next to Optimist Park, submitted a request to make upgrades to its existing race facility.

An agreement between the city and a local non-profit organization regarding a race track complex gained approval following an ongoing discussion by members of the city council during a meeting held earlier this month.

At issue involved an amendment aimed at expanding the Mountain Home Speedway complex, located in a field across from Optimist Park.
