Military liaison officer plans to resign

Marty Anderson’s time as the city’s military liaison officer included efforts to provide needed resources to airmen stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base. Among those efforts included plans to complete the bsae’s water surface project, which includes the ongoing construction of a pipeline that will transport water from the Snake River to the base.

Following an announcement in which the city police chief announced plans to resign from his duties with the Mountain Home Police Department, the city's military liaison officer formally announced his decision to also resign from his city position.

Marty Anderson, who served in this role since July 2020, highlighted the “unprofessional” conduct and behavior involving members of the city council as the main reason why he planned to resign from his contract position.
