Electrical failure caused mobile home fire

An electrical failure involving a piece of kitchen equipment triggered a fire that damaged a home on the city’s south side March 8.

City firefighters responded to the residence off Southwest Vera Street around 8:45 a.m. following reports of a fire involving a recreational vehicle although officers that arrived on scene reported the fire actually involved a single-wide mobile home.
