Mountain Home High School NerDFest Esports won the Idaho State Championship Friday, May 10th, while competing in League of Legends.

State championship ESports is like any other sport, but it’s more difficult in a unique way, because you aren’t throwing a ball or working out to be faster or bigger or stronger. You also have to learn a multitude of Video Game characters and know which one is best to play and when you’ll want to play certain characters. All this while also understanding what the character you want to play does and how to play them.

League of Legends is one of the most popular and well known MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) in the gaming Esports community.
