Canyon County Sheriff's ask for help

*SUSPECT IDENTIFIED IN SOUTH CALDWELL SHOOTING*

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in the shooting that occurred yesterday (March 27) morning on the 5000 block of Lake Avenue, south of Caldwell. The suspect has been identified as:

Gabriel Francisco Meza (aka Juarez)

Age: 34 • Height: 5’06” • Weight: 175 lbs.

Meza has multiple tattoos, including on the neck, wrists, and hands.

Gabriel Francisco Meza (aka Juarez), age 34, is currently wanted on a felony warrant for Aggravated Battery in connection with the shooting. The warrant has a $1,000,000 bond.

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office considers Meza armed and dangerous. If you come in contact with him, DO NOT approach. Call 911 or Canyon County Dispatch at (208) 454-7531.

***SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN SOUTH CALDWELL THAT INJURED 44-YEAR-OLD MALE***

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. this morning on the 5000 block of Lake Avenue, south of Caldwell. When deputies arrived on scene, they located a 44-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated incident, and that the victim and suspect(s) are known to each other. The investigation remains ongoing. If anyone has information that could help detectives, please contact non-emergency dispatch at (208) 454-7531.
