Harlyn Ray Marks

Harlyn Ray Marks 78, of Mountain home, ID passed away March 3rd, 2024 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Mountain Home on May 12th, 1945, to R.M. and Ada (Pack) Marks.

He lived in Mountain Home for most of his life and leaves behind many friends who will sorely miss him. Harlyn loved driving the backroads of Idaho, or anywhere else he went. He took his family on a vacation every year to a lot of different places, but most often to Death Valley and the California Coast.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Darrell (Dusty), daughters Danna (Richard), and Ashley (Brandon), 5 grandchildren, brother Vernon (Linda), sisters Letha (Mike) and Anne, and numerous nieces & nephews. Harlyn was preceded in death by his parents, R.M. and Ada, and his beloved daughter, Monica.

At Harlyn’s request there will be no services. “Just cook me and let me be warm enough for a change. I was born when a penguin dropped me off on my mom and dad’s doorstep and I haven’t been warm since.” He loved his family with all of his heart, warm weather, smiles and hugs, and of course- salt.
