Text translation service now available

Elmore County Sheriff’s Office introduces Text Translation Services for non-emergency service requests you can now TEXT the Elmore County Sheriffs Office at 208-587-2100!

(911 text translations are not available yet, but they are coming soon.)

We are excited to announce we are now using a text message language translation tool which allows the community to have access to non-emergency services without have to find someone to translate for them. This tool enables seamless, bi-directional communication via text messaging, automatically translating the messages in up to 186 languages/dialects utilizing a state-of-the-art AI system. Simply text us at 208-587-2100 in the language of your choice and your messages will automatically be translated back and forth between you and our Dispatchers! You can even text us in English if you are unable to call, or if you just don’t want to talk today.
