“Children represent our future. Ignorance and Poverty.” Ebby, A Christmas Carol. Strength does not sit idle it grows by doing positive actions that will build up community.

There is little we say or comment on, that has not been said at Council meetings or comments via Facebook. Opinions and ideas come from many people.

You can request the very same agenda packet from city hall that will be discussed at the next meeting? Request via email by no later than the Friday before 12:00 PM noon the next Tuesday’s meeting. Have questions about the agenda, email the mayor, council members individually or collectively. Showing up at the meeting is much more effective. Keep track of your questions and responses so you can follow up. If your concerns and questions are not satisfied keep working on it, “the squeaky wheel gets greased.” If you want to ensure transparency and accountability you as a citizen can’t just sit back and expect someone else to “fix” something. Use your voice. All too often people complain and never attempt to consult with the source that can help you.

Any questions you have about City Business may be found in many ways.

1. City Council Meetings held on the Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 pm.
