Martin Luther King Jr Annual Prayer Breakfast

The Mountain Home Black History Committee (MCBHC) hosted its Annual Prayer Breakfast honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on January 13, 2024, at the Elk Loge in Mountain Home, Idaho. Spiritual leaders from several churches and different denominations participated in the well-attended event. Community Leaders that were in attendance were: Mayor of MH Richard Sykes and his wife Kim; Representative Matthew Bundy and his wife Colette; City Councilman Scott Harjo and his wife Samantha; Shaun Brazil, Director of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce; Lisa Melchiorre, COO/CNO St Lukes Elmore and her husband Alex; Chris DeVore, Executive Director of MHAC and his wife Hannah; Barbara Hurst, Chief Protocol, of the 366 Fighter Wing Mountain Home Air Force Base. All others in attendance were special guests from the community.
