In Loving Memory of Karla Paula Stephanie Neff

(March 3, 1944 - January 14, 2024)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Karla Paula Stephanie Neff, who peacefully left us on January 14, 2024, at the age of 79, surrounded by loved ones in her apartment in Mountain Home. She courageously fought Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) after triumphing over Breast Cancer a few years earlier.

Karla was born in Trier, Germany, on March 3, 1944, to Hermann and Paula Streit. She married Rondell (Ron) in Germany on February 7, 1964, and welcomed her first child, Stephen, in July 1965, followed by her daughter Susan in January 1970. In December 1994, she proudly became a naturalized American citizen.

Survived by her loving companion, Brad Rhoads (her right-hand man), sister Helen, son Stephen, and his family Jinxy and Sammy, daughter Susan, and grandchildren Dillion and Austin. She predeceased her parents, brothers Riner and Matius, and husband Rondell.

Karla, though known for her outspoken and stubborn nature, had a heart of gold and an unwavering love for family and friends. As a skilled seamstress, she once owned the brick-and-mortar store, the Royal Stitch. A Master Gardener, Karla found joy in the outdoors, gardening, arranging flowers, solving puzzles, and caring for animals.

She was deeply religious and made every effort to attend services. An excellent cook, Karla preferred the warmth of shared meals with loved ones.

A celebration of Karla's life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 12:00 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2422 American Legion Blvd, Mountain Home, ID 83647.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Calvary Chapel Food bank, food@ccmountainhome.com, a cause close to Karla's heart.

May Karla P. Neff rest in eternal peace.
