Editor's Corner

I’m not sure if you folks have noticed, but I’m not big on writing editorials. I think a lot of that has to do with not really being sure that what I have to say can benefit the community. I truly think that having letters sent in to the editor is so much more valuable than hearing my thoughts and opinions. I have the ability to ensure that people’s voices are heard, which is so much more powerful than anything I could manage to scrape up. Well, unless you all want to hear about how amazing my dog Tucker is! Which I am totally fine with, but, I won’t do that until I get fifty people to email me saying so.

For now I will simply send out a “hello, thank you for reading and supporting the Mountain Home News, and me as I navigate this journey.” I hope that with the new year more readers can find the courage to have their voices heard and venture into the world of asking questions without fear. It is truly the highlight of my day when one pops up in my inbox.
