With the holidays coming up, it is tempting to get a cute little puppy furball that you know will make your friends and loved ones smile. It can be easy to forget that they are a 10-15 year-long commitment with health needs and financial obligations.

Last year, the Sheriff’s Office picked up 14 dogs and placed them with the City of Mountain Home Animal Shelter. We also placed another 3 with the Glenns Ferry Shelter, and another 3 couldn’t be taken by the Shelter due to their extensive injuries. Sometimes, like in that other famous story we all know, there was just no room at the inn.
