William Edward Reynolds, 81, of Mountain Home, Idaho passed august 30, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born on December 30, 1941, to Katherine and Pree Reynolds in Charleston, South Carolina. Raised in Summerville, South Carolina, Bill developed many lifelong friends with whom he shared many great times and laughter over his life. He grew up with a younger brother Gene and enjoyed high school sports and many family vacations at the Isle of Palms.

After graduating High School at Military School in Georgia he spent time working in Sommerville before attending the University of South Carolina. He enlisted in the Air Forse in 1965. He served in the military for 30 years. His career was avionics and communication, and he achieved the rank of Chief Master Seargent. His military career took him many places, including Greece, England, and Turkey. Bill loved the Air Force and was a proud veteran.

He arrived in England in 1966 and met his future wife Jill in 1968 and they were married later that year. He loved living in England, and the music and culture. Bill made many friends and connections wherever he went.

Bill retired from active duty in the Air Force in 1995. The following year he went back to work in civil service working in England, Colorado Springs, and Mountain Home.

After retiring in 2006 Bill found new ways to stay busy working in his community helping build barns, fences and cutting fields with his tractor. He enjoyed his time at home with horses, dogs and maintaining his fruit trees. He spent much of his time with his dear friend Pedro and helping people was his happy place, especially at the end of the day enjoying a cold beer on his deck!

Bill had 4 children: son Dominic born in 1969 in England, daughter Tamsyn born in 1972 in Florida, son Raffyn born in 1966 in Turkey and son Pascoe born in 1982 in England. Bill enjoyed family gatherings with his children and grandchildren who have many fond memories of his sense of humor and his dancing.

Bill is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who love and miss “poppy”.

The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice for the love and care they showed Bill and his family in his final days.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday October 13, 2023, at Rost Funeral Home 500 N. 18th E. Mountain Home, Idaho 83647
