Barbara Ann Bogard (Jones), 80, of Mountain Home ID departed her loved ones and friends on August 10th, 2023. Barbara was born in Madison, Wisconsin to Everette and Julie Jones. She was the eldest of three sisters (“One of the Jones Girls”) and loved spending time with her sisters and their friends. She was shy when she was younger but as she got older she had a sweet open demeanor that endeared her to most who met her.

Growing up she was involved in Sunday school, played piano and adored anything Disney. She graduated from East High School class of 1960 and studied two years at UW- Madison.

Barbara worked for the Wisconsin Telephone company prior to moving to Katzweiler, Germany where she worked in a local gift shop. It was there that she learned German, for which she was very proud. She later moved to Mountain Home and worked on the airbase as a telephone operator for a time before moving into the education department where she retired. Barbara loved the arts and was always happy to lend her artistic talent to costumes, sets or musical needs. She was a photographer at heart taking pictures everywhere she went and always sharing copies with those she captured.

She loved all animals and would take in any needy cat or dog that she had the fortune to cross paths with, the more the merrier to her. Barbara was always on duty for the Grammar Police and happy to serve. She was involved with the Arts Council, Mtn. Home Library, and Red Hat Society as well as Bible Study Groups and Church functions.

She leaves behind two sisters, Kathryn Nordstrom, husband Kendell and Elizabeth Hall; husband Robert along with seven Nieces and Nephews, and their 10 Children.

Her son Michael Boyle, Daughters Andrea Bogard and Beverly Fearn, husband Ted along with two Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, who will all miss her and her easy beautiful smile.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 18th, 2023 at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 2422 American Legion Blvd. Mtn. Home ID with Pastor Caryl presiding. Light refreshments will follow.

Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church (Mtn. Home, ID) or Mountain Home Animal Shelter (Mtn. Home, ID). On her way to Heaven we know Barbara, with her customary smile, stopped at the Rainbow Bridge to gather her herd of beloved pets.
