Janet Weise

Friday, July 14, 2023

Janet Weise was born on February 10, 1938, to John and Decima Baggott in Spilsby, England. At age 10, Janet passed the 11 Plus Exam for higher level education. When Janet was a teenager, she worked as a sales assistant. While on a blind date, she met Bud who was an American serviceman stationed at RAF East Kirkby, England. They fell in love and were married on October 18, 1958. They had 3 children: a daughter Donna and twin boys Adam and Mark. Janet was a loving and devoted wife and mother who cherished family and took joy in taking care of the household. Although she spent the majority of her adult life in America, she remained true to her British heritage and shared many of her British traits with her children. Janet was an exceptional cook and avid baker and enjoyed family and social activities. Janet was an active member of the Mountain Home NCO Club, Sorority, and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary at the local and state level.

Apart from her many trips home to England to visit family, she also loved the family camping trips. Janet frequently traveled to the Oregon coast and went on many adventures with family to include cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, France, Italy, and multiple other European countries. Janet had quite a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and tending to her roses. She also loved to read and would often end her days by cracking open a favorite book reading until late in the evening with Snuggles, her adored cat, curled up next to her.

In 2020, Janet's health began to decline and although she was not able to enjoy all her daily routines, she was always happy and never met a stranger. She greeted everyone she met with a warm smile and sincere heart. On July 12, 2023, with family and her cat by her side, Janet passed peacefully at home into the loving arms of her Savior and those that preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, August 18 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 85 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa, Idaho. To express condolences, visit ZeyerFuneralChapel.com.
