Pilkenton Places 1st In National Guard "Best Warrior" Competition

The Idaho Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion conducted a Best Warrior Competition for local high school students belonging to its Military Leadership Program on April 16 at the Mountain Home Armory.

Approximately 75 students from Canyon Ridge, Mountain Home and Twin Falls high schools, as well as Soldiers from the Idaho Army National Guard’s Recruit Sustainment Program, competed.

During the competition, participants were randomly organized into teams of two and evaluated on their perform in various events including a foot march, an obstacle course, assembly and disassembly of a weapon, a simulated grenade course and an individual marksmanship training course using M4 paintball guns.
