Doubletapp Fire

Wednesday, August 31, 2022

During the early evening of Monday August 22nd, a fire broke out across the road from the Boise Stage Stop. The fire — since named the Doubletapp fire — reached lengthwise alongside the interstate, burning for a number of miles, and stretched across county lines. Before containment the fire managed to grow to around 710 acres.

The fire brought together Boise City Fire, Orchard Fire, and Mountain Home Rural Fire Protection Association, as well as the Boise District BLM Fire and Aviation crews to ultimately quench the flames.
