TRAFFIC ALERT

Wednesday, June 1, 2022

On Sunday, June 5th, 2022, the 12th Annual Idaho Patriot Thunder Ride will be coming to Mountain Home. This is a benefit motorcycle ride that is in honor of all past and present members of the military. The proceeds from this ride will benefit Operation Warmheart and the Idaho National Guard Family Support Fund and Phantom Fury.

Event organizers are expecting that there will be upwards of 1000 motorcycles coming into Mountain Home on Sunday. The procession is expected to arrive in Mountain Home from Meridian at between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. The motorcycles will exit the interstate at Exit 95 then turn onto East 8th North, then onto North 10th East making their way to Carl Miller Park.

After arriving in the park there will be guest speakers and entertainment. Everyone is invited to come to the park to help honor and support our military. The Mountain Home Police Department is asking the residents who live on East 8th North and North 10th East for their support and cooperation in this worthy cause by parking vehicles off the street and on their property during this brief period of time. With so many motorcycles, the added space on the roadway will allow for a much safer route for the riders involved and experience for the citizens affected. We also invite and encourage you all to show your support for the event by watching and waving to the riders from the sidewalk or by attending the ceremonies at Carl Miller Park.

Thank you for your continued support of our military and making Mountain Home such a proud and wonderful community to be a part of. It is an honor for the Mountain Home Police Department to serve you.
