Distracted Driving Awareness Month

There have been a significant amount of high speed accidents on Idaho’s freeways this winter and distracted driving is ranking among the highest in severity this year.

Idaho ranked 10th highest, with 14.9 percent of fatal crashes involving a distracted driver.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and the Idaho Transportation Department’s Office of Highway Safety (OHS) is joining other state highway safety offices and law enforcement agencies, as part of a nationwide effort called Connect to Disconnect.
