Mayor Sykes court proceedings delayed

In the second pre-trial hearing in the case of State vs. Richard (Rich) Allen Sykes, Mayor of Mountain Home facing criminal charges addressed in Idaho Statutes -1359 Using Public Position for Personal Gain, this week’s pre-trial hearing was delayed again due to the giving and receiving of discovery in the court case. In both hearings on March 3rd and March 28th, it was a mutual delay by Attorney Haylee Parker Mills representing the state prosecution and private defense Attorney Michael Bartlett in requests to presiding Judge Kimball.
