Glenns Ferry fundraising for new shelter

Wednesday, February 16, 2022

The City of Glenns Ferry has been battling the stray animal population for several years now

The ordinance for stray animals is that they will be sent to the shelter depending on their condition. The problem is that the shelter is currently very run down and is a low financial priority with the City Of Glenns Ferry.

“The heating situation here is not good, it’s hot in the summer, very cold in the winter, the cleaning situation is not good, not a lot of benefit for disease control,” Nancy Orr Glenns Ferry Board Member said.

The shelter reached out to the Anything’s Pawsable foundation a volunteer-based organization that is dedicated to building animal facilities in cities and counties in southern Idaho.
