Hector E. Martinez Sr.

Hector E. Martinez, Sr, 83 of Mountain Home passed away at home surrounded by love ones on September 28, 2021. Services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, with Rosary at 9:15AM, and Mass at 10:00AM, burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mtn Home. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Hector was born March 19, 1938 in San Benito, Texas. At 14 years old he met the love of his life Ada. On October 29, 1956 Hector and Ada were married and started building a family. Over and over Hector watched his legacy grow bigger and bigger. He could not have been prouder. Blessed with 16 children, 37 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. They moved to Idaho in 1961. They ran and owned their store La Musicalatina. Hector and Ada were well known. Everyone that came in was treated like family. They were grandparents to everyone. Hector was a wise, loving, hard-working and very stubborn man. But being stubborn taught us if there is a will there is a way, it maybe difficult but there is a way.

Hector was called Home where he is reunited with the love of his life Ada, 8 children and 2 grandchildren.
