Violet Arlene Silva

Violet Arlene Silva, 88, of Glenns Ferry, passed away April 15, 2021 at Poplar Grove Assisted Living in Glenns Ferry.

Violet was born March 28, 1933 in Kuna, Idaho to Blanche and Lewis Tucker. Violet was one of six children. She attended Melba High School. Violet married Robert Grigg in November 1955, they were married 28 years and raised 6 children together.

Glenns Ferry became her permanent home in January 1967. Bob and Violet were partners in farming, primarily at Black Mesa and Bell Rapids, owners of the Trophy Club, and had many adventures with their good friends and family traveling.

Violet married Fred Silva in November 1983 and they were together 33 years, until Fred passed away in 2016.

Fred loved Violet, loved her children and grandchildren as his own.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred, her parents, her sons Doug, Dennis and Richard, son-in-law David Bostic, her sister Mary,

brothers Virgil and Gary.

Violet is survived by daughters Cindy (Harlie) Hanke of Deer Park, Washington, Nancy Bostic of Boise, Idaho, Laura (Joe) Waldron of Snohomish, Washington.

Her sisters Louise Vallard and Linda Guy, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home, May 3, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Viewing to proceed service 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. And internment will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry.
