Mountain Home Arts Council moving forward with Summer Concert Series

Friday, July 3, 2020

The Mountain Home Arts Council and Parks & Rec are proud to announce the dates and slate of bands for the annual Mountain Home Summer Concert Series, which will kick off on Friday, July 10, at Carl Miller Park.

Leading off the series is jazz duo Nicole Christensen & Ben Burdick (July 10), followed by “Junkerdash”—folk/bluegrass/string-band blues/punk—trio Hillfolk Noir (July 17); classic, blues, and funk rock band Green Mountain Smoke (July 31); and classic jazz and swing group Frim Fram 4 (August 7).

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of live music for all ages offered free to the public, will be from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Booths will open at 6 pm.

The decision to move forward on the concert series was only made after much discussion with the board, patrons, and local, county, and state officials, and public safety remains our top priority. Social distancing practices and safety precautions will be announced and strongly encouraged among the facilitators, volunteers, vendors, and attendees. The Arts Council will also be looking into broadcasting the concerts live via Facebook for those who are not able to attend.
