Fly “Old Glory”

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Dear readers:

According to MHN 4/8/2020, Idaho has 1,078 confirmed cases and ten deaths due to the virus. That is both sad and frightening. Allow me to share a personal story, which is something I typically keep private. My mother, RIP, was a gorgeous, patriotic, well-educated woman who always dressed to the 'nines.' At age thirty-three, she became a widow with four children to raise all under the age of ten years. She worked diligently her entire life, and was away from home; often. But, thank God she instilled many excellent core values on her children. One of which was: "Soap and water is cheap." The second was: "Always leave it nicer for the person coming behind you." This relates entirely with the virus. Secretary (White House) Dr. Ben Carson has requested Americans display OLD GLORY during our uncertainty and economic hardships. Please, honor his request and lets' show the world 'We are Americans.' We are tenacious, resilient and always persevere! Please continue to pray and keep your faith.

God Bless America, land that I love!

P.S. You don't have to take down "Old Glory" when the virus is over. Just keep in mind, she must be illuminated during darkness.

Sincerely,

Rhonda O'Hanley
