Virginia Kay Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away at her home in King Hill, Idaho on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Graveside services were held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at Glenn Rest Cemetery, in Glenns Ferry. Arrangements were under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Virginia was born in Portland, Oregon on October 14, 1931. In 1940 after her father retired from the Portland Fire Department, her family moved to a farm in La Center, Washington. Virginia attended elementary and high school in La Center where she met her future husband, Richard Thomas, who she married in 1950.

Virginia had a career as a legal secretary in San Louis Obispo for over 40 years. During her married life, Virginia lived in many placed including Pismo Beach, California and Long Beach, Washington. She was a world traveler and had a lifelong interest in history, genealogy, and rural living. Virginia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1950.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 69 years Richard L., her daughter Lesse and husband Mark, her son Richard J. and wife Kwee Eng, and grandson Edward.
