MHAC launches latest volume of “The Whistle Pig”

The Fall Coffee House, set for Friday, Oct. 18, at the Cottonwood Collective (230 N 2nd E, Mountain Home), will debut the eleventh volume of Southwest Idaho’s literary journal The Whistle Pig. The program is highlighted by readings from featured writers and art by select visual artists, and this year’s volume has an expanded junior section for young writers and artists. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the program begins at 7 pm. Frank Monasterio will serve as master of ceremonies.

The Whistle Pig ($15, $10 for back issues), showcases select local writers and artists, and is published annually by the Literary Arts Committee of the Mountain Home Arts Council. The Mountain Home Arts Council entertains, enriches, and educates the community by promoting and presenting varied artistic and cultural events.
