Time to dig out those old coats

The Backpack Bridge is hosting its First Annual Coat Swap.

If you have a coat that your child has outgrown, in good condition, you may bring it in and swap it our for one that fits.

If you have a coat your child has out grown and would like to donate it, please contact the group through their Facebook page before the event and they will make sure it goes to a child that needs one.

Donations are being accepted now in sizes 4T up to adult.

The Coat Swap will take place on November 8th and 9th at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 795 S. 5th W.

The Backpack Bridge also has Christmas Family Nominations currently open until November 1st. If you know a family who is trying their best to make ends meet, but could use a little help this season, they’d love to hear their story! They just ask that they not already be enrolled in other programs, such as the Giving Tree, or receiving other assistance.
