Bruneau and Beyond Speaker Series

Friday, October 11, 2019

The Bruneau Valley Library will restart its Bruneau and Beyond speaker program with its first event this fall on Wednesday, October 16.

The first speaker for the series will be Rachel Larsen of Bruneau who recently joined the Library Board as its newest Director. She calls herself a “working cowgirl,” and will speak on the equestrian adventure to Mongolia that she took with a group of a dozen other women last year. The trip was a cultural exchange that included a five day ride on horseback in Mongolia.

Rachel is a fifth-generation rancher from Eastern Montana, but has lived in Bruneau for six of the last 10 years. She has a BA in Environmental Science and writes on the website thesagebrushsea.com.

The program will have a different format than in past years. It will be held at the Library at 32073 Ruth Street but will begin at 1:00 p.m. instead of noon. There will be light refreshments available, and the Library would like attendees to RSVP by Monday October 14th by phoning the Library at 208-845-2131.
