Eugene Janoushek

Eugene (Gene) was born August 16, 1938 in Gooding Idaho. He was the son of Amil and Libbie Janoushek. He died August 12, 2019 at home in Springfield Oregon of aggressive leukemia.

He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1956. He began working for Lloyd Waters and family at the Mountain Home Newspaper operating a Linotype machine. He moved to Boise in 1967 and worked for the Idaho Statesman. The family moved to Springfield Oregon in 1968 where he worked for the University of Oregon in the printing department until he retired.

After retirement he traveled to Yuma Arizona and other areas visiting family. He really enjoyed the time he spent camping at Odell lake and fishing. He enjoyed wood working and gardening. His yard is filled with beautiful flowers and shrubs. We will cherish his birdhouse creations.

He is survived by son Richard of Boise, daughter Christine of Springfield and daughter Cindy (Todd) Brock of Bend Oregon and his beloved granddaughter, Lily Brock. His sisters of Mountain Home Doris (Ken) Felton and Sharon (Gary) Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Amil and Libbie, brothers Leonard and LaVerne Janoushek.
